A greatly anticipated rematch between the Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets and North Johnston Panthers had a much different outcome on Wednesday night at Hoyle field as the home notched a 3-0 win.

Jackets win conference opener

The play of the offense put up big points but the strong play of the defense for the Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets beat the home team Louisburg Warriors Friday night, 35-15. The Jackets are now 1-0 in the conference and 5-1 overall.
