Kyle Pratt and Drew Bennett’s shots would all see the back of the net and Colyn Eure would add two of his three goals before the first 40 minutes of regulation play ended.
Only one goal slipped past the Jacket defenders. Entering halftime, the score was Jackets 6, Pirates 1.
Eure secured his hat trick 10 minutes into the second half and Draper’s hat trick completion occurred shortly before the game ended.
Dustin Harrell ended the scoring spree with just three minutes left and improved the Jackets’ record to 8-3-1.
Coach Terry Frazier was obviously content with this 9-1 victory and when asked his thoughts on the match he stated, “We have been working on finishing in practice and that really paid off for us tonight.”
In an earlier game Wednesday afternoon, the JV Jackets fell to Gaston’s KIPP, 3-2.
The Varsity Jackets travel to Warren County on Monday to face the Eagles at 6 p.m.
