Hobgood JVs down HA

Excellent field position by Hobgood, turnovers and injuries proved to be the downfall of the Halifax Academy junior varsity team Thursday. The Vikings fell to Hobgood, 41-26.

Hobgood struck first to lead, 8-0, but the Vikings came back to within two as Dustin Wollett hit Tyler Jomo on a 45-yard pass play.

It was all Hobgood in the first half, going into halftime with a 34-12 lead.

The last score in the half for the Vikings came on a 45-yard run by Wollett.

The junior Vikings outscored Hobgood in the second half, Wollett on a 35-yard run and a 25-yard pass play to Jomo.

The Vikings go 2-3 on the year.
