Halifax JVs beat Lawrence

The Halifax Academy Junior Varsity Vikings scored on their first play from scrimmage, going on to beat Lawrence, 42-16, Thursday night.

It was the team’s second straight win.

Andrew Bryant burst off the right side for 56 yards to put the Vikings up early and finished with 110 yards.

Landon Poole had 121 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Dustin Wollett passed for 87 yards and two touchdowns to Tyler Jomo and Luke Blackman.

Defensive standouts included Nick Horvath, Bryant and Luke Blackman, all with 12 tackles.

The Vikings are now 2-2 and travel to Hobgood next week.
