Mr. Valdes was a native of Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Quintin Bernard Valdes and Johannah Jorns Valdes. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Bahr Valdes; four daughters, JoAnn Valdes, Diann Moore and her husband, Doug, Donna Valdes, and Barbara Valdes, all of Roanoke Rapids; his son, James K. “Jim” Valdes and his wife, Julie, of West Bend, WI; three grandchildren, Christopher Valdes, Nathan Valdes and Jennifer Valdes; and his brother, Kenneth Valdes of Milwaukee, WI.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, at Valley Community Church with Pastor David Schmaltz officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 9:00 p.m
