Squire Squire Halifax County Sheriff's Office

A Roanoke Rapids woman was charged Saturday for allegedly using a victim's personal information to obtain services for herself.

Detective J. Puhak of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office declined to elaborate this morning, but did confirm Tomika Danielle Squire, 28, allegedly obtained the victim's financial information.

On June 2 the sheriff's office took a report from an Enfield resident who was victim to identity theft.

Deputy Sheriff O. Wiltsie conducted the investigation which lead to warrants being drafted on Squire.

Puhak said through teamwork, Wiltsie and D. Radford took Squire into custody Saturday.

She received a $5,000 bond and a court date of July 20.

Seriously? confederate flag? Grow up. Personal responsibility is all I'm talking about. I don't care what party anyone belongs to. I do care that we STOP being an entitlement driven band of hooligans and start standing up for doing the right thing, being good people, working hard for an honest day's wages, all of the things that we, as a people, used to believe were worth aspiring to.

Yeah Kimberley, we know NC is becoming a Tea Party State. I hope not one penny of federal money go there, then let's see how the state will fare. As you stated the state is heading backwards. Hang your confederate flag up high.

Well I'm not sure why everybody is shocked here.. We have now created, for ourselves, through the people we elect to office and the foolishness we allow them to get away and keep re-electing them in spite of, through our inaction and apathy, a society that is nearly completely entitlement driven. She was just trying to get some of that "free" government money after all. The answer is to start voting out the nincompoops who continue to give away "free" government money. It is time that this society reverted to its traditional roots of personal responsbility and that this was reflected by our elected officials in the legislation they are passing.

Wow! I went to school with her. It's a shame the things people do just to get "free" stuff or money. This should be a lesson learned. She is too old to be doing things like this. Yes people do make mistakes but how many times do you have to hear about somebody going to jail for stealing. This would be enough for me not to do it. Sorry Mika you had to learn the hard way. But im positive we want see your face in the paper again. It is rather emabrrassing. You have a family that you have to take care of. Go get a job or something!

That is exactly what she get! There is no telling what else she would have stolen. She thought she would have gotten away with it. WRONG! Everything catches back up with you. I bet Tomika learned her lesson now. She has too many kids to be going to jail.

Bottom line.....she took someone's identity to better herself....she should not have been issued bond to begin with, period. Throw the book at her, problem is in the Court system....they get off to easy with a pat on the wrist in Halifax County, just like the welfare department here..........they give them what they want, thats why we have a population pool here that is sorry and will not work!
You are correct because contrary to what "t-one" wrote, there ARE jobs here...it's just that people are too sorry to work. They can't pass drug screens anyway. This is a FACT and I know for a FACT that employers, opening new businesses here have had to look OUTSIDE of this county for help because no one here could pass a drug test. Then as you said, they can do better on welfare than to work. The get cheep housing, free food, discount utilities and they "gets a check" (guess that's what they pay their cell bill and 'gets their nails did' with)Why bother to work?

I see she can afford gaudy jewelry and tattoos. Anyone want to bet she has her nails "did" too?

the tattoo she has looks like it cost nomore than 30.00 and it looks like she had it for 10 years the jewelry she has on is called costom jewelry which cost no more that 5.00.just by looking at her and being judgemental you cant say "bet she got her nails did too" . all im saying what she did was wrong but people really need to stop being so judgemental.
