Woman busted after fleeing area

Dunlow Dunlow Halifax County Sheriff's Office

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the Roanoke Rapids area that had been broken into and items were taken. Charles Dunlow, 32, of Roanoke Rapids and Crystal Dunlow, 28, of Roanoke Rapids were charged by Detective James Matthews with the break in.

Matthews said Charles Dunlow was located shortly after the break in and arrested. He is currently serving an active prison sentence.

Crystal Dunlow left town and has been avoiding law enforcement since the break in. On Wednesday she was located at a motel in Wilson County and arrested.

She was transported to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office where she was processed by Detective Joe Sealey on her charges of conspiring to break and enter, breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

She received a $5,000 bond and was placed in the Halifax County Jail.

She has a February 2 court date.
