Chief Mark Macon said the police department is seeking Christine or Christina Davis who goes by the nickname Runt and lives in the Scoco Park area.
Macon said the police department received the call between 3:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of surviving relatives.
The stabbing occurred outside in the side yard of the house where officers processed the scene and took measurements. The State Bureau of Investigation also arrived at the scene to help the police department investigate.
Macon said this was not a random crime and investigators believe it was the result of some kind of altercation.
Macon said it was not clear where on the body the victim was stabbed. The type of weapon is not immediately known.
