Investigation of a high ranking Weldon city schools official was turned over to the State Bureau of Investigation, town police Chief Mark Macon said this morning.

Macon said the police department received a report last week of inappropriate behavior between David Jones, the school system’s human resources director, and an employee.

Macon said the SBI has interviewed everyone involved in the case and the District Attorney’s Office will review the files.

Jones has been placed on leave during the investigation.

Macon said the police department took the initial report but passed it to the SBI because of the close relationship it has with the school system. “We immediately called (the SBI) and they started working on the case.”

The SBI is involved in this now? Whoever is in trouble might wanna consider coming clean if they want to do damage control...if they investigation turns up any evidence verifying the accusations.
