The U-12 RiverTown Rebels went to Kinston this past weekend for the 2009  Halloween Bash and walked away champions.

Coach Bobby Martin said, “The girls  battled hard all weekend long and went undefeated capturing the championship on Sunday night.”

Martin said the RiverTown Rebels are currently having a raffle ticket sale to help support their team. The tickets are $2 apiece and offer the following prizes — 1st: $100 cash; 2nd: $50 cash and 3rd: $25 cash.

The drawing will be held Dec. 6 and you don't have to be present to win.

Martin said all money raised goes to help ensure the girls are able to continue

playing in softball tournaments in the area. “These girls play in tournaments all year round and this is a way to help support our local girls as they represent our area on the playing field.”

If anyone is interested in supporting the team please call 252-535-1127.
