Virginia manned nabbed for fake prescription

A South Boston, Virginia, man was charged Thursday with allegedly trying to pass a forged prescription for Oxycodone.

Roanoke Rapids police received a call from Drugco shortly before 6:30 p.m. that Travis Jackson was trying to use a prescription from a urology clinic to obtain the drugs.

DEA records indicated he had allegedly tried to pass a prescription at a drug store in Henderson earlier Thursday, Captain Andy Jackson said.

Travis Jackson, 33, was charged with attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud. He was jailed on $3,000 and has a September 21 court date.
