Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Mars Lane.
The victims were inside the house and as they were coming outside they were approached by three to four black males who ordered them to sit down.
Gunfire followed and one person was grazed in the head and hand while the other, the one who required further treatment, was struck in the midsection, by a bullet from a handgun.
The suspects left on foot. No money was taken and further descriptions were not immediately available this morning.
