Two nabbed for metal theft

Two Enfield men were arrested Friday for metal theft, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrests of Earl Lee Caudle, 58, and Travis Wayne Solomon, 31, stem from a scrap metal investigation that began on February 23, according to Detective Joe Sealey.

Deputies R. Viverette and A. Lewis and Sergeant Greg Richardson arrested the men Friday.

They were charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses, misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen goods and second degree trespass.

Caudle was given a $1,000 and Solomon a $2,000 bond. They have March 16 court dates.
