Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Deputy J.M. Clark located the gold Honda Accord at the Hilton Garden Inn, according to Lieutenant George Evans.

Further investigation led to the arrests of Tony Lynn Jenkins, 35, of Rapids Street, and Phillip Kiah, 25, of Cloverleaf Drive.
Clark charged them with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, larceny of motor fuel and attempted obtaining property by false pretense.
It was not clear what the attempted obtaining property by false pretense charge was for.
Jenkins was jailed on $35,000 bond and Kiah on $30,000 bond. They have January 12 court dates.
