Lieutenant Bobby Martin said investigators were contacted by Travel World on May 13 about possible lottery theft in the store located near the intersection of Highway 903 and Interstate 95.
During the investigation detectives learned the employees were manipulating lottery ticket sales, enabling them to cash in on winning lottery tickets while not having paid for all the tickets.
Doreen Neely, 49, of Seaboard, and Sharonda Savage, 30, of Weldon, were arrested and charged.
Neely was placed under a $50,000 bond with an August 8 court date and Sharonda Savage was placed under a $5,000 bond with the same court date.
Martin declined to elaborate.
