Christopher Griffin, 18, of Weldon, and Charles Nolan, 18, of Richmond, are both charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury when they allegedly shot a victim with a shotgun shortly before 9 p.m.
Major Bruce Temple of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said the victim was shot in the upper right thigh and right hand. The shooting was apparently the result of an ongoing dispute. Temple declined to elaborate.
The victim is OK and being treated at a hospital for injuries that are not life threatening.
Griffin and Nolan were jailed on $15,000 bonds.
