Captain Andy Jackson said Officer Jason Williams received the call shortly after 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Appliances were being taken from a house at 225 Washington Street and were being loaded onto a van.

When Williams and officers Mark Peck and Gerald Morris arrived, they saw the appliances in the alley and identified the three men allegedly involved.

They were taken into custody and jailed on $10,000 secured bonds.

The men, except for Kevin Richard Shorter Jr., 26, face charges of one count breaking and entering, two counts of larceny and two counts of possessing and concealing stolen property.

Shorter, of East Third Street, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The other men charged are: Javon Markee Edmonds, 21, of Nelson Drive and Andrew Fennell Jr. of East Third Street.

They have July 20 court dates.
