Stop leads to drug seizure

A traffic stop in the Littleton area Monday resulted in the seizure of 5 grams of crack cocaine.

Detective Joe Sealey of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy Eric Johnson stopped a vehicle on Highway 158.

Johnson and Deputy Corey Griffin searched the vehicle and found paraphernalia and then found the crack.

Rodney Alexander Williams of Littleton was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute schedule II, manufacturing schedule II, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer.

Williams was jailed on $25,000 bond and has a January 19 court date.
