The fire destroyed the house located behind Colonial Drive, Lieutenant Bobby Martin said this morning.
The fire call was received at approximately 4:45 a.m. and Davie volunteer firefighters responded.
Martin said after firefighters got the blaze under control they felt it was suspicious and contacted the sheriff’s office.
Davie Chief David Padgett said firefighters deemed the blaze suspicious because no one was home and firefighters could not pinpoint an origin.
It took firefighters between 20 to 30 minutes to control the fire.
