Detective Doug Pilgreen said the robbery occurred at the United Food Mart at the Highway 561 and Interstate 95 intersection.
Victims reported that a light skinned male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds, entered the store.
He was wearing a green ski mask, green camouflage shirt and pants and brown boots when he approached the store clerk and brandished a long barrel gun and demanded money.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and the lottery display. The suspect was last seen on foot going behind the store. Anyone with information on the suspect can call Halifax County Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 or the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office at 252-583-8051.
