Investigators collected shell casings, DNA and marijuana at the single wide mobile home where two people were shot and killed September 4.

The search warrant gives no insight into the murders themselves but does give a snapshot of what Detective J. Puhak of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office observed at the crime scene.

The search warrant shows around 11:09 p.m. a call was received from Halifax County dispatchers that a woman had been possibly shot on Delta Drive off Highway 158 near the old airport.

The warrant says radio traffic confirmed the woman, who would later be identified as Jennilee A. Foster, had indeed been shot and dispatchers were giving a description of white Crown Victoria leaving the crime scene and heading to Highway 158.

Puhak witnessed Foster being carried out by EMS. She had once been pronounced dead by EMS but they continued to try to bring her back to life, according to the warrant.

Puhak observed a large amount of blood including blood which was clotting on the floor. In the door of the bedroom by the blood were several unspent bullets along with two spent ammunition shells. Following the blood trail Puhak noticed more clotted blood and directly above it was the body of a man who would be identified later as Thomas Tyrone “Tomcat” Davis who showed no vital signs.

Near Davis in plain view was what Puhak described as a baseball size amount of marijuana. The marijuana, the warrant says, appeared to be dropped and was lying on top of a cloth bag.

Also in plain view was a digital glass and metal scale and more marijuana residue on top of the nearest dresser. Nearest the baseball sized amount of marijuana was what Puhak described as another small plastic digital scale, which he said in applying for the warrant, based on his training and experience, were consistent with the sale and distribution of marijuana.

Seized from the crime scene was the following:

A spent shell from the foot of the bed.

A spent shell from the floor at the foot of the bed.

A bullet from the floor at the foot of the bed.

A bullet near the doorway of the bedroom.

A bullet from the blood stain on the floor.

A bullet from the middle of the bedroom door.

A bullet from the bedroom floor near the door.

A spent shell from under Davis.

A black gym bag containing marijuana and plastic bags.

Gray digital scales from the top of the chest of drawers.

Black digital scale from the floor near the chest of drawers.

DNA samples from bloodstain in bedroom door.

DNA samples from blood near an air vent.

Samples from a gunshot residue trace evidence kit.

DNA samples from near Davis.

DNA samples from the wall near a closet.

DNA samples from the front of the bed.

Plastic bread wrapper used in the CPR of Foster.

A cell phone from the living room table and one on the top of the couch.

A black purse from a bed in the bedroom.

Why are people upset with RR Spin? RR Spin didn't pulled the trigger. RR Spin wasn't into that lifestyle. The media is supposed to be bias. Something happen...Two people and possibly a unborn baby are dead. What was the motive? It's RR Spin's job to report what happen. If he sold drugs, he sold drugs, There's no honor among thieves.

I am disappointed in RR Spin for dehumanizing and making these murders look like the victims are to blame. It doesn't matter if there was marijuana there if was being sold or not that does not give anyone the right to murder people. They were in there own home and did not deserve to be gunned down. People do what they do and it's not always right and no one is perfect. Don't minimize the murder because marijuana was present. There's a child now with no mom or dad.

I wonder if those boys knew she was pregnant. They not only took 2 lives, but 3.Even if it was personal, that's just too much. Crying shame:_(

Are they really trying to make this out to be a drug deal gone bad..maybe crack but not marijuana, come on, get real. If it was over "drugs" then why was the marijuana still at the scene? This was either a random act of violence or something personal. These young boys that supposedly done it should get life for taking someone elses life. Tragic.
