“We continued trying to locate him,” Major Bruce Temple said of Mason, the second person wanted in the shooting deaths of Thomas Tyrone “Tomcat” Davis and his girlfriend, Jennilee A. Foster.
The sheriff's office has received information on Mason's whereabouts and has followed up, but has not been able to apprehend him, Temple said. Mason is known to frequent the Highway 158 and Highway 48 areas of the county. His family has a history of protecting family members in trouble.
The sheriff's office also continues to investigate Cotton's death outside Club Dream on Highway 158.
The shooter is described as a black male standing 6 feet, 1 inches tall. He had a close hair cut, medium complexion and was wearing a red Aeropostale T-shirt and blue jeans.
The suspect was seen in the club before the shooting.
Anyone with information on either crimes is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-583-1991 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
