The Scotland Neck Police Department reported the following:

• Marquesha Lowe, 19, of 604 East Twelfth Street, was charged Tuesday by Officer John Caesar with assault with a deadly weapon.

Chief Joe Williams said Lowe allegedly got into an argument with the manager of Lowe’s Foods and she pulled his box cutter from its holster and held it to his throat. She was allegedly caught shoplifting inside the store on May 23. The manager took out a shoplifting warrant the following day.

She was given a $200 bond and has a June 29 court date.
