Lt. Col. Joe Gibbs, senior military science instructor at J.F. Webb High School in Oxford, was presented a Certificate of Appreciation for his unit’s participation in programs sponsored by the Halifax Resolves Chapter, North Carolina Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.

The Webb JROTC cadets participated in two different SAR youth programs and walked away with winners in both competitions.

This is the first time the Halifax Resolves Chapter has had simultaneous entries from a JROTC unit in both the Knight Essay and Outstanding JROTC Cadet contests.  Both winners had entered each contest, each winning one and placing second in the other.
