White said in an email message to rrspin.com Ross was unanimously selected as town commissioner at a special meeting this week.
Ross was an incumbent who did not file because of time and family commitments, White said.
However, “After being officially asked to consider staying on, he agreed to serve. The town board and I greatly appreciate his staying on.”
Ross is a Halifax native, “And a very well respected young man,” White said. “I have known him all my life and consider him to be a fine representative of our town and one of my very best friends. He has been a valued member of our board in the past and we look forward to his continued service on our board.”
