Roses grand opening in September

Henderson based Variety Stores announced it will open a Roses store, a unit of the company’s retail division, in the former Maxway location at 1217Julian R.  Allsbrook Highway in the Great Falls Shopping Center.

The new Roses store has been expanded to include the former Dollar General and Goody’s locations creating a 40,000 square feet store that has been completely renovated.

Roses grand Opening is scheduled for September 2 at 8:30 a.m.

Rose’s operates several other stores located in Eastern North Carolina areas.

The new Roses store will offer a combination of value-priced merchandise that includes clothing and shoes for the entire family, home furnishings, housewares, toys, food, health and beauty products. It will also carry seasonal products such as lawn and garden and Christmas decor.

The new store will create 40 to 50 new jobs in the Roanoke Rapids area.
