The Roanoke Avenue Business Alliance will resume its roast of people in the community Monday, beginning with Eddie George.
George will be in the hot seat as a panel of his friends spear him at The 1020 Restaurant and Pub at 1020 Roanoke Avenue.
The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and proceeds will be split 50-50 between the restaurant and RABA.
George, who ran Ick's and now runs Jackpot Bingo, will be roasted by longtime friend Phil Hux, former city police chief and mayor D.N. Beale and Cleve Baker, former Ick's DJ. Also roasting George will be former Ick's bouncer Troy Allen, hunt club friend Mike Clark, along with Raymond Burton and Mike Newsome.
Cost for the event, which includes a meal is $25. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 252-535-2071.
