The shooting occurred on Duke Street and investigators discovered at least 12 bullet holes in the house where the man lives, Captain Andy Jackson of the city's police department said at the scene this morning.
The man's name was not immediately known but Jackson said he is in his 50s and was able to communicate with investigators.

Jackson did not have details of where the shots, most likely fired from outside 102 Duke Street, hit the man or how many times he was struck.
There are no suspects at this time.
Jackson said this morning's call was one of the first in the area in a long time since a problem trailer park on Queen Street a block over was closed and the mobile homes taken away.
Thomas Sledge, who owns a row of houses on Duke Street, including the one where the victim was shot, said it has been relatively quiet during the day in the neighborhood. “I don't come over here at night.”
