Captain Andy Jackson said Michelle Harris of 126 Monroe Street racked up $1,048 in charges on the card, buying 10 pizzas and using the rest to buy cell phone minutes.
Jackson said Harris faces 24 counts of obtaining property by false pretense when she was living with the victim on Hamilton Street from May to August.
Harris would allegedly send pizzas to het boyfriend who was staying at the Carolina Inn and during the time of her mother's death sent a pizza to her aunt, who was staying at her deceased mother's house.
Jackson said the victim became suspicious when she noticed her bank account was lower than it should be.
Jackson said people in roommate situations should guard themselves by keeping their financial information locked and keeping their credit or debit cards on them and out of view.
Harris is wanted and is known to frequent the Virginia area.
