Cynthia Wilson Bradley, 50, of 7 East Tenth Street, faces 27 counts of forgery and 25 counts of uttering a forged instrument. Charles Ray Harrison, 52, of Carl Street, was charged with the three counts.

Bradley was jailed on $15,000 bond and Harrison was jailed on $3,000 bond.

Jackson said investigation by Detective Charles Vaught revealed the checks were stolen from a man who Bradley had allegedly asked to borrow money from. The victim noticed the checks were missing on November 22 and he reported the crime December 2.

The woman apparently stole the checks when she asked for the money. The victim began noticing discrepancies in his checking account and the investigation revealed checks were made payable to Bradley.

The case file contains a letter from Bradley apologizing to the victim for what she did. A total of $1,918 worth of checks were written on the victim’s account.

The pair were arrested Tuesday.

I know Chuck from school and his marriage to one of my best friends back in the day. He does have a good heart and she must have done a number on him to get him to trust her. I hope the judge sees how kindhearted and trusting this man is and that he just got tied up with the wrong person.

I hope she stays in jail! Where she belongs. Everyone stop helping her out! You can't help people who choose not to help themselves. I hope Chuck has learned a valuable lesson from this!

Chuck is my brother in law. Chuck is guilty of being too trusting. He has one of the biggest, kindest hearts of anyone I know. If he could just find the companionship he deserves it would make his life so worthwhile. Everyone who knows Chuck loves him. He is so giving of himself and his time. He had to have been lied to by this woman. Like I said, he is way too trusting.
