River Pointe properties is offering a $250 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for a series of break-ins at its mobile home park in Roanoke Rapids.

Captain Andy Jackson of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said the crimes have been occurring for the past couple of weeks and involve the window air conditioning units being pushed through the trailers to gain access.

Once inside items of value are stolen, Jackson said.

I guess the RRPD will look at crimes when they can make headlines. I for one have tried be involved in community watches but have found out that it goes nowhere most of the time.A crime is a crime no matter how big or small it is.
