An Ohio fugitive was caught Wednesday in Scotland Neck.

Detective Doug Pilgreen of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Lieutenant Neil Aycock received information from Fairfield County investigators Denise Michelle Myers may have been in the area.

Aycock located Myers hiding under a bed at a house off Highway 258.

Myers was arrested without incident on a fugitive warrant for grand theft of benefits.

The 33-year-old woman was jailed on $5,000 bond and has a September 15 court date.
