Detective Doug Pilgreen said deputies from the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office responded to a prowler call shortly after midnight in the Faulcon Road area of Littleton. The victim reported she was at the intersection of Faulcon Road and Highway 158. when she saw William Lester Torain there. Torain, 22, of Littleton, asked for a ride home and the victim agreed.
