Perrin Perrin Halifax County Sheriff's Office

A Norfolk woman was caught on a Virginia fugitive warrant following a traffic violation stop on Interstate 95 Saturday.

Lieutenant Chuck Hasty said during Deputy C.E. Carroll’s investigation he learned the driver, Janet Hana Perrin, 27, was wanted for failing to appear in court on forgery charges.

She was jailed on $5,000 bond and is awaiting extradition to Norfolk.

Meanwhile, it was discovered the man with her, Lee Perrin, was wanted in Rhode Island for domestic assault.

He was released, however, because Rhode Island officials did not want to extradite him.

Deputy Herbert Williams and Detective Tyree Davis assisted Deputy Carroll with the traffic stop.
