Newsom Oil Company is selling its nine Shell brand convenience stores to New Dixie Oil Corporation, Newsom President David Newsom said in a press release.

Scott Aman, president of New Dixie, said in the same press release he is excited about the opportunity to market the Shell brand with the addition of these sites to his existing group of stores.

Newsom Oil will continue its other wholesale business operations as usual.

Both companies “have experienced the ever increasing demands and requirements from the branded oil company suppliers” and “felt the necessity to combine their branded retail operations.”

The press release continues, “In doing so, New Dixie will further strengthen its retail operations and position itself for the competitive challanges in the future.”

Both owners said they realize the value of all personnel involved and are working to assure them of their opportunity for continued employment in their existing positions.
