The newspaper quotes Greensville County Sheriff James R. Edwards Jr., who said six deputies were sent to a home at James River Junction.
Around 8:30 last Monday morning Moran was taken into custody after found hiding under a bed in the home.
The paper also notes that while authorities were awaiting extradition confirmation a Greensville County deputy noticed a substance he thought to be blood on Moran's right boot. His boots were turned over to Halifax County as evidence, along with other items including seven photographs, a pair of sweat pants and a shirt.
Meanwhile, three more people were charged in the stabbing, which occurred on a cul de sac of Halyard Drive in a remote part of the Edgewater subdivision.
Thus far the Halifax County Sheriff's Office has not released further information on the stabbing, including a possible motive.
The victim is reported to be in stable condition.
