Two men charged in the July 24 Weldon Produce armed robbery face charges from the Halifax County Sheriff’s on unrelated counts.

Today James Tyreese Webb, 24, from Weldon, was charged with possession of stolen property, Maj. Bruce Temple said in a news release.

Webb allegedly sold a stolen television taken from a house in Weldon on July 15, Detective Doug Pilgreen said today. Raymond Mills and Tyrell Brack were arrested and charged with breaking and entering into a house on Elm Street in Weldon and allegedly stealing the TV.

Webb was jailed on $1,000 bond and has a Sept. 23 court date.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Pilgreen arrested Mills on a fugitive warrant from Newport News, Va., according to a press release.

Mills is wanted by the Newport News Police Department for fail to appear on a charge of manufacturing and distributing drugs in a certain area. Mills, 19, from the Weldon area, is now being held without bond and has an Oct. 14 court date.

Mills is also charged in the theft of computers from two Weldon schools last year.

Brack and Mills were arrested along with Webb and Jessie Webb, 48, in the Weldon Produce armed robbery on July 24.

The armed robbery occurred at 11 a.m. at the company located at 113 Maple St. Two people entered the building, one of them carrying a gun, and demanded money. The men left the company with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Weldon Police Department has been investigating the case since the robbery and was able to make arrests last week.

Jessie Webb, an employee of the company, was charged with conspiracy to armed robbery while the other men were charged with armed robbery. While only two of the men allegedly went inside, a third man served as lookout.
