Man who killed intruder faces fed drug counts

The man who shot and killed an intruder Wednesday night faces federal drug charges and was taken into custody following the home invasion.

Law enforcement sources this morning confirm that Rudolph Deandre Davis, also known as Dre, is the same person named in a redacted federal indictment for crack distribution and the same person who shot and killed 21-year-old Ricardo Keith Harley, who along with three others entered his home in Littleton Wednesday night.

A federal grand jury, which convened December 13, charged that Davis knowingly and intentionally distributed a quantity of crack cocaine on or about February 28.

The second count charges that on or about March 2 he distributed 28 grams or more of crack cocaine.

The third count charges that on or about August 9 he distributed a quantity of crack, marijuana and an undisclosed drug which falls under the Schedule I category.

The indictment also contains a forfeiture notice of property obtained with the use of drug money.

The document that has not been redacted is currently sealed, the redacted copy notes.

The warrant for Davis's arrest was issued on December 13, according to a copy of a memo contained in the court file.

The indictment may give credence to statements made this morning that the home invasion Wednesday was a botched robbery attempt involving drugs, which was either an effort to steal drugs or drug money or a combination of both. The sheriff's office declined to comment on the federal indictment.

It's time to ride or die, people are sick of these crack heads, and drug dealers that steal from the working class people and take to dealers to support their drug habit.
