A 19-year-old Weldon man shot himself while pulling his pants up, Thursday night, according to Captain James Avens.

Avens, of the town’s police department, said Dennis Albert Bradley Jr. was standing in the middle of the road when his pants began to sag. He pulled a .22-caliber pistol out of his pocket to pull them up when his finger hit the trigger and a bullet hit his leg.

He was treated and released from Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Isn't it still a crime to carry a concealed and loaded gun? Why weren't charges filed immediately?

He must be so proud of himself. A) He couldn't get anything better than a .22
B) he SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED with possession of a firearm C) he shot himself because he's "too cool" to buy a freaking belt and use it properly and D) well... he's an idiot!!
