An investigation into a December 2 motor vehicle break-in resulted in the Sunday arrest of a Roanoke Rapids boy.

Detective Doug Pilgreen of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said Deputy S.G. Paige investigated the break-in last month. The crime occurred on Keener Drive in Roanoke Rapids. Several items were stolen from the vehicle.

Further investigation led to the arrest of Joshua Wayne Turner, 16. He was charged with felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor possession of stolen property.

He was jailed on $1,000 bond and has a February 2 court date.

At the age of 16, you're not adult enough to buy tobacco products. At 16 years old you are child like enough for the courts to take you into foster care, and and say you aren't old enough to take care of your self.Although when A young boy makes a mistake, he is man enough to face a jail/prison sentences. To me that's just another example of this corrupt government contradicting its self.

akameme24, personally, I think when you start committing crimes, you have taken it upon yourself to state that you believe you are man enough to do the crime, and he should be man enough to do the time.

Now... let everyone start in on the excuses of how his life was hard, his parents are split or one of them isn't involved (if that is the case or not I don't know). Because regardless of his life circumstances, NOTHING makes any crime excusable.

When did 16 become a man? To me that is still a teen/child!
