Lieutenant Chuck Hasty said Littleton police Officer Eric Johnson stopped two men walking and discovered one of them allegedly had stolen property.

Deputy Stanley Rodwell determined the property may have come from a house break-in on Cheetah Street and conducted a followup investigation which led to the arrest of William “Butch” Scott, 43.
He was charged with breaking and entering, possession of stolen property and injury to real property.
Scott was jailed on $5,000 bond and has a December 29 court date.
Hasty credited the alertness of Johnson and the quick followup by Rodwell for Scott’s arrest.
Investigation continues and more charges could be filed.
