Major Bruce Temple of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said investigation by Deputy Glenn Teal resulted in the arrest of Lendell Anstead, 20.
He was also charged with two counts of injury to personal property and one count of larceny of a firearm.
Temple said the break-ins occurred at two houses off Ita Road in Hollister on August 31. Several items stolen were recovered at Anstead’s house.
He was jailed on $35,000 bond and has a September 29 court date.
