Tyrone Broadnax, 32, came to Applebee’s shortly after 10:30 p.m., grabbed his wife by the neck and allegedly dragged her to the parking lot.

Captain Andy Jackson said Officer Jason Williams responded to 52 Birch Street where Broadnax lives and Officer Mark Peck confirmed the victim’s story from witnesses at the restaurant.

Broadnax was charged with assault on a female for which he was jailed without the opportunity bond and second degree kidnapping for which he was given a $30,000 bond and March 30 court date.

Jackson said the victim was having a girl’s night out with friends when the crime occurred.
