Detective James Matthews said he investigated the break-in and has charged Ricky Whitehead, 24, of Scotland Neck with breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, larceny after breaking and entering, Injury to real property and resist, delay and obstruct.
Deputy Steven Casey arrested Whitehead on Saturday and took him to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Whitehead was placed under a $3,000 bond and received a court date of February 2.
