The meeting will be at 1 p.m. at On the Avenue, formerly Java Junction, and Charles Williams will be introduced.
Williams was chosen from about a dozen applicants. “He comes highly recommended and will be a great fit,” Simpson said. “He’s going to be a go getter.”
Simpson said Williams is expected to start July 15. “He’s really exactly what we needed. He has grant writing experience, organizational skills and economic development experience.”
Williams will begin his duties by visiting all businesses on Roanoke Avenue.
