The state Highway Patrol is investigating a case this morning where screws strewn from what is believed to be a work truck flattened tires on as many as 15 vehicles.

State Department of Transportation crews cleared the northbound lane of Interstate 95 from the 164 to 171 mile marker of the debris. The spill occurred around 11:30.

Thus far there has been no description of the vehicle given.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Highway Patrol at 252-536-2224 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
