A woman who allegedly used the victim’s social security number to get a telephone hooked up has been charged with identity theft and obtaining property by false pretense.
Detective Doug Pilgreen of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Xenia Denise Bobbitt, 27, of Halifax, was charged through investigation by Sergeant Greg Richardson. The report was filed September 27.
She was jailed on $5,000 bond and has a November 2 court date.
