Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said the armed robbery occurred around 8 p.m. when the homeowner’s son was forced inside the house in the Halifax area.
One man was armed with a handgun while the other was armed with a shotgun.
The suspects, described as black males, tied the victim’s legs together and robbed the house, fleeing on a pewter Honda.
One man was described as standing 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 to 220 pounds. The man, who held the handgun, was further described as wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded jacket and clean Timberlands. He had a clean haircut and short goatee.
The man who brandished the shotgun was described as standing an inch or so shorter than the other man. He wore dark clothes including pants, a hooded jacket and shirt. He was clean shaven.
