Roanoke Rapids police responded to three damage to property calls Monday night.

While weather brought the number of trick or treaters down there were reports of property damage on East Sixth, East Second and Hamilton streets, Captain Andy Jackson said,

At the T.J. Davis Recreation Center eggs and baby powder were thrown inside a car and the door panel was ripped off on the drivers side.

On East Second Street a side window was busted out on a car and on Hamilton Street a concrete block was thrown through the rear window of a car.

Jackson said the vandalism appears to be have done by the same people as clothing descriptions were the same and callers reported seeing four or five people described as juveniles dressed in black.

A caller on Hamilton Street reported seeing people running toward Roanoke Avenue.

Damages are estimated to be more than $1,000.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office and Weldon Police Department received no reports of vandalism.
