The state Highway Patrol will pull computer data from two cars involved in a fatal wreck on US 158 Saturday at the Jackson By-pass Road.

Sergeant J.A. “Tony” Cameron declined to elaborate this morning on details of the case until the investigation is completed.

Felecia Harris, 22, of Roanoke Rapids, died in the crash and five others were injured, two seriously, Cameron said.

Harris was traveling west when a collision occurred with an eastbound vehicle driven by Pamela Hayes of Windsor at 8:39 p.m.

The report, filed by Trooper K.D. Mills, said Harris was ejected from her vehicle.

It was one of two separate wrecks Saturday which claimed the lives of two people.

Corey Rochell Mills, 22, died in a wreck on State Road 1327 in Hollister.

The wreck, according to a report by Trooper B.S. Myers, occurred around 4:30 a.m. when Mills ran off the road to the right. He lost control and overcorrected, the vehicle crossing the center line but then traveling back off the road to the right where it struck a utility pole.

Cameron said alcohol and speed were contributing factors.
